Pundit makes bold prediction over 23-year-old Arsenal star's future amid PSG and Real Madrid links

Monday, CaughtOffside have reported that Arsenal defender William Saliba is on the radar Real Madrid, PSG and Bayern Munich. Although a departure is not imminent, it could happen in the future.

While the Gunners are unlikely to let Saliba leave, especially with his contract running until 2027, they would only accept offers starting at €120m or more.

While the Premier League side are unlikely to sell the Frenchman next summer, one pundit believes Saliba should not be expected to spend the rest of his career with the London-based club.

“I’m going to be perfectly honest and admit that I don’t see Saliba as a a club man,” Charles Watts said in his Daily Briefing column for CaughtOffside. “He didn’t come through at Arsenal. He may have come through as a young boy in France, but he has no an eternal loyalty to them. So I’m sure at some point indicate he will want to try something new And when that moment come he will probably have the choice of the top club he wishes to join.

“But Saliba is only 23 and Arsenal need to make sure they keep him for a long time to come. Sure, he still has three years left on his contract, but his performances and growing stature in football will dictate the need to improve those terms fairly quickly.”

From PSG’s perspective, Saliba’s past at Marseille could make things interesting. Given his history with OM as a player, it will be interesting to see if PSG rekindles that connection, especially after Christophe Galtier’s stint as coach didn’t go as planned.

However, the Parisians could overlook Saliba at Marseille if manager Luis Enrique believes he is a player who can be a key part of his defence.
