The Liverpool midfielder made his debut in a brand new look in Hungary’s Nations League draw with Bosnia.
It was another frustrating game for Dominik Szoboszlai on the international stage. Having been beaten 5-0 by Germany in his previous outing, Szoboszlai was looking to bounce back from that disappointment.
A home game at the Puskas Arena, where Hungary have not lost a game in two years, seemed like the perfect opportunity.
However, Szoboszlai was disappointed by his teammates. Despite having eight goal-scoring chances in the match according to FotMob, Hungary failed to find the back of the net.
Which means one of the biggest talking points of the game will have been the Liverpool midfielder who made his debut with a brand new look.

Dominik Szoboszlai debuts brand new hairstyle
At Liverpool, Szoboszlai played with his hair slicked back. However, in the match against Bosnia, the Hungarian captain opted for a more slicked back hairstyle.
With noticeably more gel in his hair, Szoboszlai had an old-school look and resembled Ferenc Puskas’ signature look from Hungary’s golden years during the era of the mighty Hungarians.
M4 Sport in Hungary spotted Szoboszlai’s look and shared it on Instagram.
The post has garnered a lot of attention with over 17,000 likes and 150 comments. Although we have to admit that we don’t see much difference in Szoboszlai’s “new look”.
He’s worn similar haircuts before, maybe not as slicked back as this one.
However, the Hungarian will not be too concerned about comments about his appearance.
He will now focus on returning to Liverpool and continuing where he left off, having started the campaign superbly under Arne Slot while playing in a new role.
Szoboszlai has already registered two assists in three Premier League games, matching his tally from last season. And he will be hoping to add more against Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
